1. Product Overview

Glass Wool is an inorganic fibrous insulation material manufactured by centrifugally spinning molten glass into fine fibers, bonded with an eco-friendly thermosetting resin. With fiber diameters as fine as 5-8 μm and a highly porous internal structure, glass wool delivers exceptional thermal insulation, acoustic absorption, and fire resistance — making it one of the most widely used insulation materials in construction, HVAC, and industrial piping applications worldwide.

Our centrifugal glass wool product line is produced using advanced international centrifugal spinning technology, ensuring uniform, resilient fibers with low thermal conductivity. 2.1 Glass Wool Board

Glass Wool Boards are rigid panels manufactured by compressing and curing glass wool fibers under heat. They offer good compressive strength and structural stability, ideal for flat or curved surface insulation. Available with various facings including aluminum foil (FSK), fiberglass cloth, and non-woven fabric.

Glass Wool Blankets are flexible, roll-form products designed for fast installation over large surface areas such as steel structure roofing, wall cavities, and HVAC ductwork. Available with aluminum foil facing for vapor barrier and moisture protection.

Glass Wool Pipe Sections are pre-formed cylindrical insulation designed specifically for pipework. Featuring a longitudinal slit for easy snap-on installation, they are widely used for HVAC ducts, hot/cold water pipes, steam lines, and industrial process piping. Available with aluminum foil or fiberglass cloth facing for enhanced moisture and corrosion resistance.

Composed primarily of silica (glass), our glass wool is certified A1 non-combustible, withstanding temperatures up to 600°C. It does not burn, drip, or emit toxic smoke — compliant with GB 8624, ASTM E136, and EN 13501-1 standards.

6. Installation Guide

Step 1: Surface Preparation

Clean the surface of dust, oil, and rust. Ensure the substrate is dry and flat. Apply anti-corrosion treatment to metal pipes before insulation.

Step 2: Material Preparation

Cut glass wool products to size based on the object being insulated. Cut boards/pipe sections slightly oversized to ensure tight joints.

Step 3: Installation & Fixing

• Flat surfaces: Fix with insulation pins or adhesive. Stagger board joints and fill gaps with loose glass wool.
• Pipework: Snap pipe sections over the pipe along the longitudinal slit. Seal joints with aluminum foil tape. Cut elbow sections into fish-mouth segments.
• Blankets: Unroll and press firmly against the surface. Overlap joints by ≥50mm and secure with insulation pins or wire.

Step 4: Facing Treatment

Aluminum foil facing should face the heat source or interior side. Seal all overlaps with aluminum foil tape to ensure a continuous vapor barrier.

Step 5: Outer Protection

For outdoor or mechanically vulnerable areas, install galvanized steel, aluminum alloy, or PVC jacketing secured with self-tapping screws.

Step 6: Safety Precautions

Wear a dust mask, gloves, and safety goggles during installation to avoid direct skin and respiratory contact with glass fibers.

• Boards: Standard carton packaging, quantity per carton varies by thickness. Palletized available.

• Blankets: Compressed bales with PVC film wrapping — bare or palletized — maximizing container space.

• Pipe sections: Woven bags or cartons, bundled by diameter size.

• Export packaging: Fumigated pallets, custom shipping marks, and Certificate of Origin available on request.

• Shipping: FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and land transport (Central Asia / SE Asia). FOB / CIF / EXW terms all accepted.
